All about Los Cabos

Why you should book a Cabo vacation this year

Los Cabos, or ‘Cabo’ as it’s often known, is a tale of two cities sitting at the southern tip of ravishing Baja California. Party town Cabo San Lucas is famous for its beaches, bars, and clubs while its grown-up neighbor San Jose del Cabo majors on tradition, history and a vibrant arts scene. In between and linking the two is an area known as The Corridor, where luxury resorts sit between the desert and the sea. The whole of Cabo is easily accessible wherever you choose to stay, and its 350 days a year of blue skies, its beaches, flourishing food scene and the most awesome sunsets known to man make it a magnet for spring breakers and A-listers alike.

Cabo San Lucas

If you’re looking for a family-friendly day out, head to Cabo’s downtown marina to take a water taxi to El Arco. This craggy, picturesque arch, carved from the rocks by the elements, sits at the very tip of the peninsula, where the untamed Pacific meets the calmer waters of the Sea of Cortez. Sea lions lounge and pelicans perch, waiting to have their picture taken, and if you take a glass-bottomed boat you can ogle the underwater life too.

The Corridor

Cabo’s Corridor is a 20-mile highway that connects the twin cities of Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo. It’s also the place where you’ll find some of the ritziest resorts – the stars of Hollywood’s golden age flocked here in the Fifties, and where Elizabeth Taylor, John Wayne, and Bing Crosby led, many a modern-day celeb has followed. If teeing off is top of your vacation to-do list, then this is the spot for you. The Corridor has no fewer than seven stunning golf courses, laid out by some of the world’s best designers, such as Jack Nicklaus, Tom Fazio, Tom Weiskopf and Robert Trent Jones Jr. Wild Canyon meanwhile, has a host of thrills ‘n’ spills, from zip-lining and bungee jumping to camel rides, plus the child-friendly, animal-filled Kingdom for the opportunity to get up close and personal with some of Cabo’s feathered, furred and scaled residents.

San Jose del Cabo

For an even more peaceful way to spend a day, visit nearby Estero San José del Cabo. The estuary has a special ecosystem where freshwater from the Sierra de la Laguna Mountains meets saltwater from the Sea of Cortes. You can hike or bike along a paved path through the protected wildlife sanctuary, spotting exotic plants and a large number of migratory and shorebirds as you go.

Experiencing a Cabo San Lucas villa

Whichever part of Cabo sounds right for you, we’ve got just the vacation home you’re looking for. So the choice is yours: do you want to party like it’s 1999 in Cabo San Lucas, chill and soak up some culture in San Jose del Cabo or find your own little slice of A-list luxury in one of The corridor’s high-end resorts?

Homes in Cabo San Lucas
