Pinemarten Lodge

Pinemarten is a stunningly beautiful 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom holiday chalet that can sleep up to 4 people in absolute 5 star comfort. Having recently been completely rebuilt from the ground up Pinemarten is simply stunning. The exterior is finished in Scottish Larch with an Osmo wood treatment that defines the finish and showcases its natural grain. A composite decking ramp leads from your private car park at the rear of the chalet to a front door leading into a utility room with coat rack, boot rack, washing machine and separate tumble dryer. Walk through to the open plan living, dining and kitchen area and you are immediately overwhelmed by the beautiful views captured through the ceiling to floor windows and patio doors leading to a large raised composite private decking. A truly magnificent Highland setting with unrestricted views over Loch Iuibhair (pronounced Ewar), Glen Dochart, the famous Ben More and the surrounding mountains. A view that will be hard to beat from a self catering holiday property on mainland Scotland. The interior has been designed by the owner Lucy Taylor to cater for all the needs of a luxury holiday chalet. This includes a fully fitted galley kitchen with Bosch appliances including mid height double oven, microwave, dishwasher, under counter fridge, separate freezer and Nespresso coffee machine. Sit in the comfort of your deep sunk sofa or arm chair and watch your favourite programme on the LCD wall mounted TV, Blu Ray DVD or online stream with the dedicated WiFi router. Alternatively turn your head slightly and marvel through the large windows at the view. Walk through to the bedrooms and Pinemarten has a master king size double bedroom with ensuite shower room. The bedroom has been designed with twin built in mirrored wardrobes and bedside tables. The bespoke hand made solid Oak sink unit is fitted with twin sinks and an illuminated, demister vanity mirror with socket. The shower cubicle is fully tiled with hand cut glass tiles, a slimline shower tray with centre rose and hand held shower head. The second bedroom is a twin with 2 large single beds with underbed storage, built in mirrored wardrobes and a separate bathroom with large bath and power shower over. The bathroom is styled with light pink butcher block tiling as well as a bespoke hand made solid Oak sink unit fitted with twin sinks and an illuminated mirror with demister pad and socket. The soft furnishings in all rooms have been upholstered in beautiful hand chosen fabrics and are colour coordinated with the Farrow and Ball wall colours. Features include Messentex treated goose down duvets and soft Egyptian cotton bed linen (man made bedlinen is available upon request). We pride ourselves on the comfort of our beds and Pinemarten is no exception with hotel grade, 2000 spring, pocket sprung bed mattresses with Cashmere top. This beautiful accommodation is available for short breaks, weeks or longer. "A really great base for exploring this beautiful part of Scotland, and lots to keep the family occupied, from canoes and bikes, to games and DVD's. Lodge very clean, well maintained and equipped, and with plenty of its own space. The loch and mountain views, the peace and restfulness of the place, even the purity of the tap water, all make you want to stay. Review posted 13th August." "My daughter rented two cottages at Portnellan for the celebration of her 21st birthday. We had no idea what to expect before we arrived, and we had travelled from the United States to attend her birthday. The magic of Portnellan added to the magic of seeing my daughter turn 21. What a beautiful location, and the cottages were lovely vacation homes with everything we could need." "Everyone had a terrific time, the young ones and us old-timers! Thank you to the gracious staff (namely Cameron's family.) You made us feel welcome and made her celebration a delight!" "I highly recommend these cottages for anyone who loves a magical place to sleep and roam in one of the most magical places I've ever been! Review posted 14th August." "Outstanding as usual. A warm welcome from Cameron and family. Spotlessly clean lodge , stunning scenery and great touring base. Would recommend this to anyone looking for luxury self catering in Scotland.
