In this oportunity we do our own Coffee Farm Experience.We gonna take you to the montains behind bogota to the really local town of choachi. From there we'll drive a few minutes more untill we get to our organic coffee farm, there we'll meet local farmers and with them we have a traditional colombian breackfast, also we'll talk about what it means to be an organic coffee farm and the daily tasks of a farmer. Latter we take our cocos for pick coffee, we get inside the plantation and we learn about the coffee in a organic farm. We'll walk around the farm and take in the more than 8,000 coffee plants, we'll learn how to hand-pick coffee and process it; also depending of the season may we cant collect coffee but we will rousted coffe them in a really native and artisanal way. We go under the local fruits trees, the idea is to feel the coffee culture pretty close and discover the colombian coffee world. We'll process the coffee and end drinking more coffee in a diferent way of preparation, we go to te town just for eat the best traditional lunch and in the way back to the city, making brief stops to take pictures of the Paramos ecosystems and the picturesque Bogotá city skyline. Breathe fresh mountain air and feel the energy of Colombian horses on this one-of-a-kind day. We’ll meet at 8 a.m. in Unicentro mall, located in the north of Bogota. From there we will go to my mountain home at El Imperio (1h30 min drive). You will enjoy the beautiful landscapes, traditional food, and amazing cultural experience. We’ll ride horseback along the Andes and take in the gorgeous scenery, native forests, and great sight of Lake El Sisga, all of it inside my ranch, which makes it a really safe ride without any vehicle different than my horses. For lunch, we’ll eat authentic dishes cooked in a wood stove, it's beautiful. We will have some colommbian coffee and then play a game of Tejo before we head back to Bogotá. Along the way, you can take it easy and commune with nature as you bond with your Colombian steed. Other things to note This activity takes a whole day, and you'll return to Bogotá around 5 - 5:30 pm. It is a must if you really want to experience Colombia's soul. Welcome to my Colombian cooking class! During this experience, I will open the doors of my home where you will immerse yourself in a typical Colombian food meal in an informal environment. I will start off by showing you the different types of fruits we have in Colombia, and then you will be able to learn all the tips and tricks to make the most delicious buñuelos, arepas, pan de yucas, and much more typical dishes like ajiaco or fish with coconut rice! You will discover the secrets of my dad (who was a baker) and how we eat these delicious plates in Bogotá. I will welcome you, and you will wear one of the multiple aprons I have been collecting. I will guide you through the whole process of making these delicious, savory and sweet dishes! Of course, the menu can change depending on dietary restrictions and guests' preferences. We will cook and bake together using fresh, local ingredients, and we will have a cup of hot chocolate or a cup of canelazo (a typical Colombian alcoholic drink). We will cook in my kitchen, and once finished, we will set the table and enjoy the meal altogether. We will meet near the "Core of Bogotá" and make our way to the chosen location, which is the most vibrant neighborhood in the city, a place where we will find many spots to capture, in a natural and relaxed way, the bond you share as a couple and/or the inner shinning and personality that, you as an individual, want me to translate into professional grade photographs. Once there I'll provide my guidance and expertise to get lovely pictures of you with ease. Whithin a week after the completion of the photo shoot, I will send you an online link where you can find the best (12 to 14 images for those who attend alone and 24 to 26 images for those who may come in couples) in High Quality. Sometimes it may be rainy in Bogotá, so re-scheduling is a possibility unless you want the pictures under some rain (which I don't have any problem to do so).
