If you're in the Stirling area pop up to Dunblane, it's only 15 minutes drive on the motorway from Stirling. Home of tennis champion Andy Murray (look out for the gold postbox), Dunblane has a lovely 13th century cathedral (and entry is free). There's a nice little coffee shop not far from the cathedral called "The Beech Tree Café".

This beautiful cathedral is one of the few surviving medieval churches in Scotland. Built between 11th and 15th Century, in a predominately Gothic style of Architecture. Free entry and there are free guided tours every Sunday.
