Tips from locals
The S.H. Ervin Gallery is a major public art institution housed in the historic National Trust Centre on Observatory Hill.
This is a beautiful little Art Gallery, well curated, and in an iconic part of the city. you can have coffee in the cafe, but its also a terrific place for a picnic lunch, overlooking the harbour and the Sydney Harbour Bridge, a short walk to Barangaroo, in fact most of Sydney at your fingertips. An easy to reach by bus! The gift shop run by the National Trust sells beautiful cards by Cressida Campbell who is an iconic Sydney artist.
