Our Villa No.1 is a private bungalow style building ideal for singles and couples. With over 50 sqm of living space, the Villa is totally private with its own fenced garden. It is an oasis in Central Ubud being 120 metres from the road, and guests are also welcome to share our beautiful Riverside Pool ! Reliable 25Mbps internet with working desk and chair it is ideal for digital nomads.
The space
Guests have told us that Villa No.1 is a real home away from home, tucked away in its own private fenced garden, surrounded by beautiful frangipanis and bougainvillea.
Digital nomads particularly love the large working desk overlooking the garden and equipped with hi-speed WiFi
Just want to relax ? Enjoy the verandah watching the squirrels play in the frangipani trees, sipping wine or Prosecco from the collection of goblets and champagne flutes that we provide.
NB: As our pool is down a steep staircase and is not fenced our rooms are NOT suitable for children or disabled people.
Guest access
All our guests are free to use our Riverside pool – If there are other guests we ask that you use the pool only between the hours of 10am to 5pm so as not to disturb them. If however you are the only riverside guests (Sudi will tell you !) then feel free to use the pool at your leisure !
Other things to note
Only 3 minutes walk from Yoga Barn and 5 minutes walk from Monkey Forest, our Villas are a great place to be if you don't want to rent a motorbike as you can walk everywhere in Central Ubud. Being right next to ARMA museum (the venue for the Ubud Jazz Festival in August) it is a short stroll to ARMA's main stage where cultural dances are held nightly.
The street has an amazing range of cuisine available from many local Warungs to Greek, Argentinian, Japanese, Tex-Mex, Malaysian Fusion, Thai, Korean, French and 3 Italian restaurants.... which is why this end of town is sometimes called Little Italy.
Need some shopping ? Just ask Suci or her daughters as they pass the Villa and head for the market every morning to buy flowers for the offerings that day. In fact why not join them at the market and let them advise you on all the local fruits and spices, and ask them for a cooking class for a truly Balinese experience ?
My parents Sudi and Suci live on site should you need any help or advice. My father Sudi spent 20 years as a professional tour guide so has a wealth of knowledge on where to visit in Bali, and can explain in simple terms the Balinese culture and traditions that surround you.
He can organise motorbike hire or a car should you need it, and Suci will be happy to teach you Balinese cooking. Why not pop up to the family compound at the top of the stairs and hang out with her and her family to help in making the 1000s of offerings that are prepared every day for ceremonies ?
